These terms govern use of Caris Etail by shop owners and staff. Last updated: 6 August 2026.
By creating a shop or using Caris Etail, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the service on behalf of a business, you confirm you can bind that business.
Caris Etail provides multi-tenant retail software: offline-capable POS, inventory, staff roles, customers, reports, and subscription billing. Features may change as we improve the product. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, especially where your local network or device fails.
Access to write features may require an active subscription after any trial period shown at signup. Prices are listed on the pricing page and may be updated by the platform. Payments are processed by Paystack (card or Mobile Money where available). Failed or expired subscriptions may limit POS and admin write access after any grace period configured on the platform.
You retain rights to the business data you enter (products, customers, sales). You are responsible for the legality of that data and for complying with applicable tax, consumer, and employment rules in your market. Do not upload unlawful content or misuse the service to harm others.
You may not reverse engineer the service except where allowed by law, overload infrastructure, bypass security controls, or use Caris Etail to process payments in ways that violate Paystack or card-network rules.
Offline sales depend on the device remaining available until sync completes. You are responsible for device security, printer and cash-drawer hardware, and verifying receipts when operating offline.
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Caris Etail is not liable for lost profits, lost sales during outages, or indirect damages. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the subscription fees you paid to us for the three months before the claim.
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, fail to pay, or create security or legal risk. After termination, we may delete or anonymize shop data after a reasonable retention window, except where we must keep records.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. Disputes will first be addressed in good faith by contacting carisetail@gmail.com. Courts in Ghana have exclusive jurisdiction, without limiting mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived.
